This is a great part time opportunity through Goodwill Commercial Services! The Clarksville Excel Center is located at 1329 Applegate Lane, Clarksville, IN 47129. Hours are Monday through Friday, 5p-9p (they will change from 5p-10p when businesses open back up again). Must be able to work independently and/or with light supervision.   The Janitor, Commercial Janitorial keeps premises of office building or other commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition. This position provides student support, guidance for online classes and is responsible for the organization and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency of The Excel Center.  The Paraprofessional will work closely with staff and students to supervise and maintain orderly operations for the school.  This includes a sound working relationship with Excel Center online instructors by assisting with broadcasting the class, collecting paperwork and making sure students understand coursework.  Other duties may include setting up student accounts, assisting with credit recovery classes, supporting iExcel and updating attendance records.  The position will work with the instructional team in meeting the educational objectives and adhering to the Indiana Academic Standards.  This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.   Responsibilities - Maintain classroom order and discipline. - Collect, record, and send student assignments to appropriate destinations. - If equipment is malfunctioning, make it top priority to remedy the trouble. - Monitor tests. - Assist with asynchronous courses. - Set up student accounts (track progress). - Make sure students understand course work. - Monitor independent study time. - Manage on-site enrollment for new students to include iExcel, troubleshooting, and decision-making in accordance with The Excel Center model. - Assist with student recruiting. - Assist with new student orientation. - Ensure student information system is accurate and up to date. - Assist with student attendance keeping. - Perform other duties as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY Instructors hold primary responsibility for the implementation and development of The Excel Center curriculum and the success of its students. We seek teachers who are committed to continuously improving curriculum and instruction through collaboration as part of a team. The Instructor will facilitate learning for students attending Excel Center, meeting students “where they are”.  He/she employs a student-centered approach effectively tailoring the instructional strategies to the individual students’ needs approaching instruction with grit, creativity, and innovation. Strategies may include but are not limited to direct instruction, one-on-one instruction, seminars, self-paced lessons, and online learning environments. Instructors employ high impact instructional practices and motivational techniques. The position will work with the instructional team in meeting the educational objectives and adhering to the Indiana State Standards.   This position is part time with the hours:  Mon - Wed 8:30 - 3:30 and Thurs 8:30 - 4:30   Responsibilities - Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards; Build lessons around student needs including online learning tools and content. - Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards; Be accountable for students mastery of Indiana Academic State Standards. - Track and analyze classroom data; Use attendance and assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices to achieve learning goals. - Focus constantly on student learning; Think critically and strategically to respond to specific student learning needs across ability levels. - Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions aimed at improving student retention, productivity, school culture, and new student orientation - Communicate student progress effectively with students, colleagues; Collaborate with staff to ensure student success. - Work with coaches and leadership staff to support students’ progress towards graduation and post secondary planning. - Attend all team and professional development meetings. - All other duties assigned.
