The Assistant Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of the production department in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization by performing personally or through the Group Leaders.  Coordinates daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targets.  Uses data and continuous improvement tools to resolve internal and external corrective actions and drive process improvement.  Manages 2-4 subordinate Line Leaders who supervise a total of 100 hourly employees.  Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  Contributes as a key member of the management team. The Production Planner is responsible for production scheduling, customer service, and inventory management for the production operations. Works with select customers on orders, and schedules production in accordance with due dates and plant capacities. This is a great part time material handler position through Goodwill Commercial Services! The material handler (RHSA worker) works to sort and stage product for the Fort Harrison Commissary.
