This is a great full time groundskeeper team lead position through Goodwill Buildings and Grounds! The team lead is responsible for ensuring the grounds/landscaping needs of our contracts are tended to. Previous groundskeeping/landscaping experience  with experience leading a crew of employees is highly preferred. You must have a valid driver's license and able to pass a MVR check. Today, we are one of the largest Goodwills in North America, providing services to thousands of individuals and families each year.    We find that we are at our best when we work together, as One Goodwill, across the organization, delivering vital services and resources, and empowering Hoosiers to increase their independence and reach their full potential.  We will continue to change lives daily through the development and execution of initiatives that enrich the lives of those we serve through education, health, and employment.  Everything we accomplish will be through the lens of equity as we work towards equitable outcomes for those who are facing systemic barriers that lock them in the vicious generational cycle of poverty.   Job Summary The GBGS Groundskeeper Team Leader supervises, directs, coordinates, and controls activities of workers engaged in maintaining the grounds of Goodwill retail stores, commercial or public property, and interfaces with Goodwill retail stores and other affiliated sites.   Also assists groundskeepers with the completion of assigned work.  Maintains high quality standards regarding mowing, trimming, and blowing properties while putting the safety of customers, teammates, and the public as a foremost priority while overseeing or performing tasks.   Example Duties and Activities  - Supervises the work of the groundskeeping team engaged in grounds maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, planting and caring for flowers, trees, and shrubs trimming, policing of grounds, edging of walks, raking, and disposing of leaves and refuse, light painting, application of pesticides and herbicides. - Trains employees on lawn maintenance, the use of equipment, simple maintenance tasks, and safety protocols. - Performs inspections of the work properties and corrects any deficiencies to ensure quality standards prior to leaving properties.   - Enforces safety regulations.   - Motivates team to achieve daily production goals and fills in as necessary to model goal attainment. - Keeps daily records of production. - Communicates with Goodwill management and customers when appropriate and as needed.   Required Competencies  - Degree and Credential Requirements - NONE!
