Goodwill’s Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) pairs mothers pregnant with their first child with a registered nurse for ongoing home visits aimed at supporting mothers and families in providing the very best start for their children during the earliest, most developmentally critical years. NFP is an international, community health program, widely researched and recognized for increasing healthcare access and improving health outcomes.Implemented in Indiana exclusively by Goodwill, NFP began in Marion County in November 2011. To date, the program has served more than 2,300 families. As a Nurse Home Visitor, you will improve critical outcomes for at-risk women and their children who receive services in local communities. You will begin visiting the mother during pregnancy and continue until the child is age two, and you will provide coaching and support to first-time expectant mothers. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of clinical nursing practice and adherence to the NFP model, and to policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of NFP and of the lead agency.
