A signing bonus of $375 will be paid at 90 days of employment.  The Young Learner’s Childcare Center is designed to provide free, temporary, short-term childcare for the students of the Excel Center until regular childcare is located. The Young Learner’s Childcare Center is available when students are studying on-site or are in class, and will serve children up to age 12. A child may stay at the center for a maximum of 4 hours each day.   The Young Learner’s Childcare Center assists in ensuring the safe and caring management of all the children entrusted to the center. This means monitoring children in the center, serving snacks, and facilitating learning opportunities for the children while in their care. Additionally, the attendant will assist in keeping parents informed of policies and procedures at the center. The Manager, Office Administration is responsible for the organization and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency of The Excel Center. Works closely with staff and students to supervise and maintain orderly operations for the school.  Additionally, this position is responsible for appropriate staffing, managing, and equipping of the Young Learner’s Childcare Center.   Essential skills include language skills, writing skills, reasoning ability and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.   Responsibilities - Manage, coach, mentor, and evaluate the Young Learner’s Childcare Center (YLCC) Manager and the staff. - Ensure that the YLCC is properly staffed, equipped, and maintained. - Make certain the YLCC is a safe, secure, and a healthy environment for the children that it serves. - Oversee necessary documentation and ensure that records are properly maintained. - Greet visitors, provide information requested, and route visitors to the appropriate party. - Answer phones and provide information about the schools or direct calls to appropriate party. - Check voicemail and respond to messages in a timely manner. - Manage departmental relationships to coordinate any needed work orders in the areas of security, housekeeping, and maintenance. - Manage bus pass ordering and distribution. - Coordinate travel arrangements. - Coordinate all event planning to include vendor evaluation and selection within budgetary constraints. - Collect and distribute mail daily. - Order, maintain, and track inventory of office equipment and supplies. - Create and maintain staff directory and center calendar. - Order business cards. - Manage on-site enrollment for new students to include iExcel, troubleshooting, and decision making in accordance with The Excel Center Model. - Assist with new student orientation. - Collaborate with registrars to assist with workflow. - Acts as a liaison between students, enrollees, families, staff and community partners. - Works closely with Marketing Director and Admissions and Outreach Coordinator. - Ensure student information system is accurate and up to date. - Assist with student and staff scheduling where applicable. - Responsible for student reception support, including hiring, mentoring, and training. - Coordinate center tours for community. - Identify vendors, evaluate services and costs, narrow vendor selection and make appropriate business recommendations. - Works closely with sister school to achieve new center goals. - Other duties as required.

Directs all higher-level questions to the appropriate associate or manager. - Maintains cleanliness of sales floor (purge, colorize, run racks, and merchandise). Textiles or Wares Producer:  - Sorts product to identify quality and value (checks for holes, missing buttons, defective zippers, or stains and cleans as needed) and properly barbs, tags, and hangs textiles or wares.  Groups textiles (categorizing by light to dark and solid to prints). - Produces 100 pieces per hour adhering to Goodwill’s pricing standards and updates daily production tracking sheet. - Occasionally uses a pallet jack and regularly uses a conveyor belt. Donation Door Attendant: - Accepts donations from customers and maintains a clean and clear donation door while educating customers on current Goodwill promotions, including the rewards program. - Quickly and accurately sorts products and distributes them to appropriate areas. - Maintains an efficient working area by ensuring the backroom is clean and organized (all boxes labeled, everything in its place, and a place for everything). - Loads and unloads trucks as needed and regularly uses heavy equipment, including a pallet jack, double stacker, floor scrubber, and hydraulic lift. eCommerce Producer: - Develops a keen eye to identify and secure items of value for ClickGoodwill. - Stays informed of the market value of merchandise through eBay and other Internet shopping sites to properly tag, itemize, and secure items in totes for ClickGoodwill and educates team of eCommerce high ticket items. - Properly, efficiently and carefully palletizes, wraps, and ships totes to ClickGoodwill to meet store quota regarding totes shipped per week. e-Books Producer: - Scans books received by the store and decides what is sent to ClickGoodwill or displayed at the store location to meet the store quota. - Prints inventory sheets and packs, seals, and ships totes for ClickGoodwill. - Identifies top sellers and manages a clean, organized, in-store sales-effective display. Rack and Cart Runner: - Checks each rack/cart to ensure quality and value. - Properly colorizes, merchandises, and purges the sales floor. - Maintains a clean and orderly sales floor, puts away carts, and stocks shelves. - Runs one textile rack/wares cart per 15 minutes and updates daily production tracking sheet.
