The Janitorial Training Program is an intensive, 10–20 week paid internship program, depending on part-time or full-time availability.Three levels of training have been identified.A Janitorial Certificate will be given only for the completion of all levels.The focus of the program is on skill acquisition and development through a paid internship within Goodwill Industries Janitorial Training Department.The program will include skill development in obtaining the technical and soft skills of working. The Janitorial Training Program Participants will also be provided with case management services throughout the duration of the training program.Interns are assessed on a weekly basis.This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.
Internship Details
The Janitorial Training Program targets individuals with barriers to employment, including those who have little or no prior work history, or a sporadic work history, and who have an interest in learning skills associated with janitorial/housekeeping work.

Responsibilities
- Location and hours: The Janitorial Program is offered at 1635 West Michigan Street.Hours of operation are 6 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Building services: Participants must be able to clean restrooms, office areas, and common areas. Work performed must meet Goodwill quality standards. Participants will also develop the skills necessary to dust mop, damp mop, clean glass and windows, disinfect and spot clean carpets and walls, and perform chrome and general floor and carpet maintenance.
