The Outlet Associate role is essential for the success of our Outlet and Warehouse operations within the retail division.  Our retail division is an important part of who we are and what we do.  It fuels our good work in central and southern Indiana, generating revenue for critical services while providing jobs opportunities to many of who face limited options.  Every role within our retail division helps us further our mission of empowering people to increase their independence and reach their potential through education, health, and employment.  If you are looking for an opportunity that allows you to reach new goals while helping other’s in your community, the Outlet Associate opportunity is for you.


Hours of Operation

Outlet: 8:00am to 10:00pm Monday thru Saturday and 10:00am to 8:00pm Sunday

Warehouse: 7:00am to 10:00pm Monday thru Saturday and 9:00am to 8:00pm Sunday



The Outlet Associate may function in various capacities within the Outlet and Warehouse facility.  Some of these job functions include:

  • Cashier
  • Donation Door Attendant
  • Floor Staff
  • Sorter
  • Loader
  • Heavy Equipment Operator



  • HS Diploma or GED, preferred. Less than high school education will be considered with up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Mathematical Skills:
    • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Heavy Equipment:
    • Pallet Jack, Double Stacker, Baler and Tipper
  • Physical Demands:Stand for prolonged periods of time
    • Grip, pull, and tug with hands
    • Bend, kneel, and crouch with back and legs
    • Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by the job include reading a computer monitor, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
    • Strong attention to detail and quality of work including safety awareness
