POSITION SUMMARY

The position will be responsible for providing assistance to the production control office, as well as some assistance to the warehouse and production team. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with Goodwill Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Works as a team player.
  • Completes all daily production scans required in a timely manner.
  • Performs various clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, sorting, and distributing department paperwork.
  • Verifies and posts product receipts.
  • Verifies production scan accuracy before closing out production orders.
  • Correct any inaccurate production scans.
  • Assists in the return of raw material from production floor to the warehouse. This may include reprinting of labels.
  • Assists in releasing work to forklift drivers for production orders.
  • Enters purchase orders for storage project.
  • Enters sales orders for storage project and creating shipping documentation.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred
  • Employee must be able to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Good with numbers and the processing of information
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Able to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions.
  • Proficient computer skills
