The Site Supervisor I, Ability One - Mailroom Services and Operations is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that customer requirements are met in accordance with the contract for any governmental or nongovernmental customer sites, including those with Ability One regulations. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.
This position is part time Monday-Friday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Acts as the liaison between Goodwill and the government representative. Represents Goodwill in all operational matters.
Develops service schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments, upcoming projects, special tasks and events.
Ensures completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
Prepares service estimates according to labor hours, material, and machine requirements costs.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet service schedules or quality requirements.
Ensures operational, cost and quality compliance to the contract and Statement Of Work; creates staffing strategy and approaches to meet requirements.
Determines optimum efficiencies through evaluation of working conditions.
Obtains and understands deliverables for both closing and renewal of contracts.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Ensures equipment is maintained and manages PM and/or repairs.
Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
Participates in development and implementation of Quality Management System aligned with the Statement of Work (similar to ISO 9001:2008).
Communicates and ensures understanding of departmental goals.
Meets site goals and key business, financial and mission metrics.
Successfully meets the contract’s Statement Of Work.
Creates and initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Confers with case management team to support employee needs.
Conducts regular safety meetings and ongoing training as appropriate.
Conducts interviews and coordinates hiring activities with assigned case manager.
Conducts performance reviews, providing feedback on development needs through coaching, counseling and individual regular feedback.
Maintains time and production records.
Manages procedures of the QMS system.
Tracks balanced scorecard information.
Ensures government-required documents and forms are properly filled out and submitted per requirements of the contract.
Documents and reports on meetings with employees and contract personnel.
Bachelor’s degree highly preferred or significant related experience in lieu of college degree
Military experience highly preferred
2 years of experience in a management role
Experience in service contract work, either commercial or government with responsibilities for quality, service, and cost
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Solid relationship builder
Experience in managing a cost center and budget responsibilities
Self-directed problem solver, critical thinking skills
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work and direct employees with diverse backgrounds, abilities and education level
Experience working with people with disabilities highly preferred
