• Site Supervisor - GWCS (H)

    The Site Supervisor - GWCS (H) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that customer requirements are met in accordance with the contract for the government site and AbilityOne regulations. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.



    • Directs workers engaged in janitorial duties such as floor care of restrooms, hallways, corridors, stairwells and ramps.
    • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
    • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
    • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
    • Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
    • Maintains production records.
    • Assures routine maintenance of equipment.
    • Manages inventory of supplies and equipment.
    • Suggests approved supplies, materials, and equipment.
    • Enforces safety regulations and conducts regular safety meetings and ongoing training as appropriate.
    • Performs activities of associates supervised.
    • This position is a “working” supervisor position, which also holds the responsibility of quality assurance. Directly oversees employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include training employees; directing work; assuring satisfactory completion of work; inspections; addressing complaints; resolving problems; and communication with the Regional Director.
    • Point of Contact (POC) for the VAP or Vendor Application Process for entry of new employees and current vendors for site access privileges.
    • Acts as the liaison between Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana (GCSI) and the government representative. Represents Goodwill in all operational matters.
    • Conducts interviews and coordinates hiring activities with assigned case manager.


    • 2 or more years of experience in management role
    • 2 or more years of experience in janitorial or housekeeping environment
    • Experience in service contract work, either commercial or government with responsibilities for quality, service, and cost
    • Experience working with people with disabilities highly preferred
