    Want to support and empower first-time mothers in Lake County?


    Nurse-Family Partnership is a research-based program that has been demonstrated to significantly improve critical outcomes for at-risk women and their children who receive services in local communities. Beginning with nurse home visits that occur during pregnancy and continue until the child is age two, you will provide coaching and support to first-time expectant mothers. You are responsible for maintaining the highest standards in clinical nursing practice and adherence to the NFP model, and to policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of NFP and of the lead agency. You will report to the Supervisor, NFP Nurses. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.

    • Salaried, community health nurse position
    • No regularly scheduled weekends
    • No holidays

    • Will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
    • You are a registered Nurse (RN)Indiana license in good standing required
    • You will have minimum 1 year experience working in home visitation or home health with a focus in maternal/child health or mental/behavioral nursing, 2-3 years preferred
    • You will have knowledge of Bartholomew county resources, and experience working with service providers in this community required
    • Will have the ability to model a strengths-based, client-centered approach
    • You Exhibit basic attitude of self reflection and working in partnership
    •  You are a skilled clinician with track record of developing trusting relationships at all levels while establishing appropriate boundaries
    • Will have the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, low income families, communities, and organizations
    • You have working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Products and the Internet and ability to acquire new computer skills
    • You have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Will have the ability to embrace change positively and function effectively as a team member
    • You will exercise care and compassion in decision making; maintains objectivity
    • You will have bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus
    • You must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
    • You will have access to personal automobile, current automobile insurance, valid driver’s license and a good driving record
