  • POSITION SUMMARY

    The Retail Associate-eCommerce may function in various capacities within the retail location. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.

    Hours of Operation

    7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    Working shifts available include: 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

    **May include occasional overtime work on Saturdays 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

     

    Responsibilities

    • The Picker is responsible for picking orders and ensuring accuracy by cross-referencing products with paper invoices. Inspect each product’s condition and ensure it is aligned with the description provided.
    • Attention to detail is a MUST.
    • Solid decision-making skills.
    • Ability to review written instruction and execute with accuracy.
    • Able to work successfully in a team environment.
    • Ability to bend and climb.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Ability to meet production quota.
    • Ability to use a computer and various software programs.
    • Willing to cross-train in other areas.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • The Packer and Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring items are properly packaged and addressed for shipment.
    • Attention to detail is a MUST.
    • Solid decision-making skills.
    • Basic computer skills, including data entry and Internet navigation.
    • Prior automated shipping experience a plus.
    • Mechanical knowledge of cold seal machines and/or hot seal machines a plus.
    • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
    • Ability to meet a production quota.
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Willing to cross-train in other areas.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • eBooks Employees are responsible for scanning quality product into inventory, picking customer orders and shipping the correct order to the customer.
    • eBooks Scanners:
    • Must be able to identify quality product.
    • Basic computer skills including data entry required.
    • Solid decision making skills.
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills is a must.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for long periods of time.
    • Ability to meet a production quota.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Willing to cross-train in other areas.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • eBooks Picker
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Ability to review written instruction and execute with accuracy.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • eBooks Shipper
    • Computer skills required.
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Previous cold seal machine or manual hot seal machine experience preferred.
    • Willing to cross train in other areas.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb for long periods of time.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to meet production quota.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of inventory within the eCommerce facility.
    • Loads/unloads trucks as needed.
    • Maintains clean and orderly work area.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • Assists retail team when needs arise.
    • Computer skills are desired.
    • Use of heavy equipment including pallet jack, electric pallet jack and double stacker.
    • Ability to bend and climb.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to read and write.
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
    • Willing to cross-train in other areas.
    • Jewelry Associates are responsible for ensuring jewelry items received from the Goodwill retail sites are properly processed, photographed, posted, picked and shipped.
    • Attention to detail is a must.
    • Solid decision making skills.
    • Ability to identify and sort jewelry (hallmarks, identifying gold/silver, vintage jewelry, costume jewelry, finish items) [previous experience preferred.]
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to have constant movement of hands and arms.
    • Ability to read and write micro and small print.
    • Ability to type at least 50 WPM.
    • Ability to operate a digital camera and take photos with an iPhone.
    • Experience with uploading files into Google Drive.
    • Ability to meet a production quota.
    • Willing to cross train in other areas.
    • Follows all safety procedures.
    • Computer skills required.

     

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Military experience highly preferred
    • Team player, solid work ethic and adherence to procedures and protocol including maintaining confidentiality in passwords, logging on and off procedures, and adherence to Goodwill’s principles
    • Strong attention to detail and quality of work, including safety awareness
    • Good time-management skills
    • Must be able to bend, stand, stretch, grip, type and carry for long periods of time
    • All positions will require carrying items in excess of 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to view a computer screen regularly
    • Effective to superior reading, writing and math skills relative to the role assigned
    • Familiarity with computers and relevant software including basic computer and Internet navigation skills
    • Must be willing to cross train.
