The Director, Advancement (Director) is responsible for the development and success of donor engagement within the Goodwill Foundation of Central and Southern Indiana (Foundation), a division of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana (GCSI). The Director seeks mutually beneficial relationships with prospective and current donors striving to discover opportunities for GCSI and create shared value — for GCSI, the families it serves and community partners.
The Director reports to the Vice President of Community Engagement and Chief Advancement Officer (VPCE) and serves as a member of the extended leadership team, providing strategic guidance in financial development to advance GCSI’s mission through annual giving, endowment bequests and gifts, and major gifts.
In order to provide strategic leadership and oversight, this position will have two direct reports: the Annual Fund Manager and the Grants Manager (responsible for grant development).
The focus for this role is the development and implementation of Individual Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Annual Fund Development, and Corporate Giving. In this role, this position will be responsible for the overall strategies around identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and prospective donors in each of these areas. The Director will carry out activities outlined in Goodwill’s Strategic Plan and the Foundation’s Advancement Plan.
