POSITION SUMMARY

The eCommerce Team Leader supports his/her Site Leader, leadership team, and staff to execute operational objectives that support the annual operating plan.  He or she makes decisions involving customers, team members, operational issues, business planning, priority setting, compliance with company policies, and all areas of the business.  This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.

Hours of Operation:

7:00am to 7:00 pm Monday thru Friday

7:00am to 4:00pm Saturday

 

Responsibilities

Daily Objectives

  • Meets production goals and KPIs which include postings, shipments, and customer service tickets through motivating workers.
  • Examines marketplace metrics.
  • Manages safety related actions.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with internal and external customers to achieve customer services goals.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels and staff management.
  • Serves as a champion by creating a positive atmosphere of encouragement, motivation, and high morale within the site.

Monthly Objectives

  • Tracks and measures revenue and net income.
  • Evaluates safety metrics.
  • Reviews marketplace metrics.
  • Examines the strategic staffing plan.

Operations and staff management– 80%

  • Completes daily objectives.
  • Suggests efficiency improvements.
  • Provides coaching and training to hourly employees.
  • Involved in hourly associate recruitment process including prescreening and interviewing candidates as needed.
  • Manages safety and loss prevention awareness. 

Personal development – 10%

  • Seeks out opportunities for professional development for both self and other team members. 

Financial management and reporting – 10%

  • Acts as a good steward of resources available at the site including people, time, and money.
  • Tracks and measures day to day sales, production goals, and report outs.
  • Manages monthly objectives.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED highly preferred or willingness to attain.
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, 3PL, supply chain, or advanced manufacturing highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma or ISO9000 a plus.
  • Ability to achieve results through others without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Skilled at consistently managing and meeting KPIs.
  • Able to manage a team of up to 50 employees.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including the understanding of Microsoft Office products and internet navigation skills.
  • Creative and technical writing abilities required.
  • Willingness to cross train in various operational functions.
  • Hours of Operation: Leadership roles require availability and flexibility within the site’s hours of operation.  Below are the hours of operation for eCommerce:
    • 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday thru Friday
    • 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday

  • Physical Demands:
    • Stand for prolonged periods of time
    • Grip, pull, and tug with hands
    • Bend, kneel, and crouch with back and legs
    • Lift up to 50 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance
    • vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the jobs.
    • Moderate noise level
    • Environment is not climate controlled and is impacted by drastic weather conditions both warm and cold.
