POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting supports the organization by ensuring all technology tools available meet needs for dashboards, performance measurement, reporting and analysis.  The role  works directly with Goodwill Retail, Commercial Services, Foundation and other GCSI support teams providing the day to day support to each business unit. Responsibilities are split between DOMO (business intelligence tool), performance measurement, and other data analysis projects.  Fosters close relationships across the organization to identify technology and data needs of leadership.  Collaborates with leadership to create logic models, identify performance metrics, and providing ongoing data reviews.  This person will work with the Director, Corporate Impact and Analytics to establish priorities, action items, and deliverables for software systems.  Assists leadership with researching, organizing, visualizing, and analyzing data for specific projects and initiatives.  Provides user training, feedback opportunities, and collaboration.  Oversees internal quality control and external accreditations.  This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the senior leadership of the Goodwill organization and serve as the first point of contact, except for GEI and Mission Advancement.
  • Oversee the business intelligence team and serve as a primary leader in the development and continued support of the organization’s data architect and reporting project.
  • Assist in the creation and monitoring of organization team data metrics.
  • Participate in data reviews with each organization team.
  • Work with the team leadership and the Director, Corporate Impact & Analytics to identify strategies to improve.
  • Blueprint and monitor the development of all new DOMO dashboards and related reporting database design.
  • Ensure regular follow-up, training, and feedback opportunities with all end users.
  • Create opportunities to expand organizational knowledge through activities.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
  • Travel DOMO user events and program evaluation training/conferences.
  • Manage team’s data visualization and data analysis projects as assigned.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, performance management, business intelligence, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Solid working knowledge of data analysis techniques and software tools
  • Ability to initiative and embrace change positively
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
