POSITION SUMMARY

The New Store Production Associate demonstrates behaviors consistent with Goodwill’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Standards of Conduct and may function in various capacities within the retail location.

Hours of Operation

8:00am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday

 

Responsibilities

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Textile Production

  • Sort product to identify quality (check for holes, buttons, zippers, stains)
  • Properly barb, tag, and hang textiles
  • Physical demands which include bending, stretching, gripping and lifting (occasional use of pallet jack)
  • Able to produce 85 pieces per hour
  • Update daily production tracking sheet

Wares Production

  • Sort product to identify quality and value
  • Good sense of pricing and able to properly tag items per Goodwill pricing standards
  • Prepare items (clean as needed) for the sales floor
  • Physical demands which include bending, stretching gripping and lifting
  • Able to produce 85 items per hour
  • Update daily production tracking sheet

Equipment Used

  • Pallet Jack

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Team player, solid work ethic and adherence to procedures and protocol including maintaining confidentiality in passwords, logging on and off procedures, adherence to the 5 Basic Principles, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work including safety awareness
  • Good time management skills
  • Must be able to bend, stand, stretch, grip, type and carry for long periods of time
  • Some positions will require carrying items in excess of 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds
